Reyna Rodriguez is a dedicated Youth Life Coach with over a decade of experience supporting adolescents and families impacted by the criminal justice and child welfare systems. She brings a trauma-informed, strength-based approach to coaching, helping young people build self-awareness, resilience, and practical life skills that support long-term success and reduced system involvement.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and extensive professional experience as a Case Planner in preventive and family-focused programs, Reyna has worked closely with youth facing behavioral challenges, court involvement, family instability, and exposure to community violence. Her work has centered on empowering youth to identify their strengths, set realistic goals, and develop healthier decision-making patterns.
Reyna specializes in one-on-one and group coaching focused on emotional regulation, accountability, conflict resolution, and positive identity development. She integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral strategies, Motivational Interviewing, and goal-oriented coaching techniques to support youth in navigating probation requirements, school challenges, peer pressure, and family dynamics.
Throughout her career, Reyna has collaborated with schools, probation departments, mental health providers, and community organizations to create coordinated support plans that address both immediate needs and long-term growth. She is particularly skilled in crisis intervention, safety planning, and advocacy—ensuring youth and families are connected to critical resources while feeling heard, respected, and empowered.
As a bilingual coach fluent in English and Spanish, Reyna is deeply committed to culturally responsive coaching and building authentic, trusting relationships with youth from diverse backgrounds. She believes every young person deserves guidance, accountability, and a supportive adult who sees their potential beyond their mistakes.
